Privacy Policy

VideoGameVault helps collectors search video game price data, scan UPC barcodes, organize a personal collection, and track a hunt list on iPhone and Android.

Developer And Contact

VideoGameVault is provided by the developer listed in the App Store and Google Play listings. For privacy or support questions, email support@corporationsarestupid.com.

Data Stored On Device

Your collection entries, hunt targets, notes, purchase price, quantity, condition, platform, and saved app settings are stored on your device unless you choose to use a server backup, sharing, or future trading feature. VideoGameVault does not sell your collection data.

Optional Shared Vault Rooms And Future Trading

If you choose to create a Shop My Vault share room or use future trading features when they become available, VideoGameVault may send the selected collection title, platform, condition, quantity, pricing identifiers, estimated values, notes you include, and an app-generated account token to the VideoGameVault server. The server may create a share code so another VideoGameVault user can review the collection and send whole-collection, per-title, or trade offers. Shared vault rooms, offers, future trade proposals, completion confirmations, feedback, reports, and related profile details are used only to provide sharing, safety, abuse-prevention, support, and service reliability features.

Optional Vault Backup And Recovery

If you choose to back up your vault or sign in with a recovery key, VideoGameVault may store your Dex collection, Hunt list, future trade-vault marks, estimated values, app-generated account token, name, email address, backup timestamps, and related technical data on the VideoGameVault server so another install of the app can restore or merge your library.

Future Trade Profile Data

If you use user-to-user offers or trade proposals when those features become available, VideoGameVault may ask for a name and email address. The server may store that name, email address, app account token, IP address, trade messages, selected requested items, selected offered items, trade status, feedback, reports, and timestamps for app functionality, safety, abuse prevention, dispute review, diagnostics, and service reliability. VideoGameVault does not process payments, hold escrow, arrange shipping, or guarantee user-to-user trades.

Camera Use

VideoGameVault asks for camera access only when you choose to scan a UPC barcode. Camera frames are used on device to detect barcodes and are not saved by the app or uploaded to the VideoGameVault server.

Price And Barcode Lookups

When you search or scan, VideoGameVault may send the game title, UPC barcode, platform, selected condition, or search text to the VideoGameVault server and pricing or barcode lookup providers so the app can return matching game data, cover art, Market Pulse values, GameStop-related values, and estimated prices. The VideoGameVault server protects provider credentials, rate-limits requests, and may cache provider responses to improve reliability. These providers may process requests under their own privacy practices.

Server Logs

Like most internet services, the VideoGameVault server may keep standard technical logs such as request time, request path, IP address, user agent, and error information. Logs are used for security, abuse prevention, diagnostics, and service reliability.

External Links

Some screens include buttons that open app stores, support pages, marketplace search pages, or pricing references in your browser. VideoGameVault does not process purchases, payments, or account sign-ins for those external services.

Tracking And Advertising

VideoGameVault does not include advertising, does not use third-party tracking SDKs, and does not use your data to track you across apps or websites.

Retention And Deletion

On-device collection and hunt data remains on your device until you edit it, clear it inside the app, uninstall the app, or reset the device. Shared vault rooms, offers, future trade records, feedback, reports, server logs, and cached provider responses are retained only as needed for app functionality, security, diagnostics, abuse prevention, dispute review, and service reliability. You can request privacy help or deletion guidance by emailing support@corporationsarestupid.com.

Security

VideoGameVault uses HTTPS for network requests to the public server. Provider credentials are kept on the server and are not embedded in the mobile apps.
